Barton Lynch, a former team rider for Instinct (83-94), is a lanky, goofy foot, Australian surfer from Sydney's Northern Beaches.

He dominated the surfing tour in the late 80s, winning events on most continents. Barton was the brand's marquee team rider and won his only world championship title in 1988.

Barton now resides with his family on the North Shore of Hawaii. He has a podcast called @stokedblokesh and provides guest commentary for the WSL. His passion for surfing and dedication to his craft continue to inspire new generations of surfers around the globe.
